Today would be the 84th birthday of writer and gonzo journalist Hunter S. Thompson (born July 18, 1937). Although Thompson was not a comics creator, here's an excerpt from a comic that featured him (or a thinly-disguised caricature of him) as a character: From the 1977 underground comic Fear and Laughter #1, starring "Hunter S.
