Today would be the 149th birthday of absurdist playwright Alfred Jarry (born Sep. 8, 1873). Although Jarry lived before the age of comic books, here's a comic story in which he appears as a character: From Short Order Comix #2, "Pillow Talk"; story and art by Bill Griffith, featuring Alfred Jarry as a patient in the hospital bed next to Griffith's recurring character Cherisse Fisk.
