Amazing Heroes Swimsuit Special 1987: Mike Grell and Lurene Haines

Now that we've gotten into summer, just for fun I thought I'd try to post pages from the Amazing Heroes Swimsuit Special at least once a week for as long as they last or as long as summer lasts. Reposting from the old Tumblr site: Two pin-ups on the same page...Myke Blackmon from "Jon Sable, Freelance" by Mike Grell, and Timepacer (a proposed character that never actually appeared outside this pin-up, as far as I know) by Lurene Haines. And I got this page signed by both Grell and Haines at a convention many years ago!

Assorted Pin-Ups: Mike Grell

This weekend, I'll be attending the convention DragonCon, and while I'm away, I've pre-scheduled some posts featuring work from some of the guests I'll be seeing there. I'll start off with an assortment of commissioned sketches by Mike Grell, most of which I found posted on the Comic Art Fans website. (Some pieces previously posted on the old Tumblr site, some appearing here for the first time.) First, a couple of Black Canary pin-ups...

And three portraits of Dejah Thoris...
