 Happy birthday to writer/artist Dave Gibbons (born April 14, 1949)! In last year's birthday post, I referred to those panels from Watchmen #2 as the only female nudity in that series; re-reading the series, I realized that I'd overlooked this background character in the first issue. Happy birthday to writer/artist Dave Gibbons (born April 14, 1949)! While the classic series Watchmen (written by Alan Moore with art by Gibbons, as if you didn't already know that) had frequent male nudity in the form of Dr. Manhattan, the only female nudity occurred in issue #2, first in an old "Tijuana Bible" starring Silk Spectre:
