From Bizarre Sex #3, "Pornographic Old Maid," a collection of parody Old Maid cards, some illustrated by Jay Lynch, others by Justin Green. I featured Justin Green's cards in my previous post, so now here are Jay Lynch's.
Another cover for Jay Lynch's birthday: The cover to Bijou Funnies #3 by Jay Lynch (including Lynch's interpretations of Skip Williamson's Snappy Sammy Smoot, Robert Crumb's Bob Kleen, and Kim Deitch's Doc Destiny).
And an enlarged detail of the cover's portrait of "Connie Lingus" (who does not actually appear inside the comic):
Today would be the 77th birthday of cartoonist Jay Lynch (born Jan. 7, 1945). The cover to Snarf #2 by Jay Lynch:
From Bijou Funnies #7, the back-cover one-page story "Nard & Pat: I Wonder Who's Kissing Her Now"; story and art by Jay Lynch.
The cover to Bijou Funnies #7, an amusing collaborative effort between Art Spiegelman, Skip Williamson, and Jay Lynch: First, Spiegelman drew a panel of a topless woman in a stereotypical "damsel in distress" pose, then each artist added their own characters and dialogue to the panel: Spiegelman drew The Viper, Williamson drew Snappy Sammy Smoot, and Lynch drew Nard & Pat. (Spiegelman also drew the large figure of the Viper outside the panels.)
Today would be the 76th birthday of underground cartoonist Jay Lynch (born Jan. 7, 1945). From Turned On Cuties #1, a collection of pin-up drawings by several different underground comix artists edited by Lynch, the pin-ups that Lynch contributed to his own anthology. Lynch also caricatures himself as the comic's "host" Ray Finch.
