Squa Tront #9: Remembering Johnny Craig's Birthday

Today would be the 93rd birthday of famed EC Comics artist Johnny Craig (born April 25, 1926). Reposting from the old Tumblr site, a couple of images from the EC fanzine Squa Tront #9. First, a self-portrait of Craig making good use of the camera that publisher Bill Gaines gave him as a Christmas gift (part of a collection of drawings that the EC artists did to thank Gaines for his gifts that year)...

Also from that same issue, a panel by Craig used to illustrate an unpublished EC script by writer Carl Wessler...getting a bit more risque than he would have if the story had actually seen print in the 1950s!
